SORORS, LET’S ROUND UP!!!!

The Membership Services Committee is proud to announce the 2022 Round-Up Reclamation BBQ (see flyer for more details).

There will be music, food, games, and a paraphernalia swap.

Meat, utensils, and paper products will be provided by the Membership Services Committee. Each Soror attending is asked to bring a side dish to accommodate 25-30 people to ensure variety and that we have enough food. The Committee also asks that Sorors invite and bring an inactive Soror as a guest.

Please RSVP your attendance and dish you plan to bring to Soror Murray at 2ndvicepresrac@gmail.com by October 10th.

The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. proudly presents the return of our annual Jabberwock - A Scholarship Program & Pageant

This event is scheduled to take place in April 2023 at the Jefferson Center Shaftman Performance Hall. Proceeds raised during the Jabberwock will fund a scholarship for the winner as well as other Roanoke Alumnae scholarships and community programming.

Come and learn about everything you need to know to participate in Jabberwock 2023 at our information sessions.

Announces the 2022 Scholarship Recipients

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community.

The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter is proud to have awarded six college scholarships to well deserving local high school graduates. Scholarship funds are raised through various fundraising efforts, such as the Jabberwock Production, Double Good Popcorn sales and other events. As a result of these fundraising efforts the chapter is fortunate to award an average of $10,000 in scholarships annually.

This year’s recipients are:

Roanoke City graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Dance Performance and Education.

Jada V.

Salem graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Child Development and Family Studies.

Jaylen R., Inez Hanley Scholarship Recipient

Roanoke County graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Biology.

Mya R., Inez Hanley Scholarship Recipient

Roanoke County graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Kinesiology.

Sanii N.F, Inez Hanley Scholarship Recipient

Roanoke County graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Business Finance.

Roanoke City graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Biology.
