The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter is excited and delighted to once again to host a favored community event that showcases the "oft talked about but rarely evidenced" culinary skills of men in our community. It's is wonderful family fun and all for a worthy cause-- the building of a school yard water well in Kenya.
For those who might have interest in the project but are not able to be involved with our cook-off, please read the letter to the left.
For several years, the chapter's International Awareness Committee has worked diligently toward the goal of earning the $14,000 needed for this project and we are almost there! The chapter has sponsored walks, booths at festivals, yard sales and several cook-offs in recent year all in support of this project.
We hope to see you on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Roanoke Higher Education Center (Room 212). Ticket prices are $10 and $5 for children 8 and under.
